Questions schools ask

Is it really free?

Yes. The School Management System costs the school nothing. All you need to buy is the hardware, such as the card-tap kiosk.

Do we need special equipment?

Not for face recognition, which runs on a phone or tablet camera. The kiosk is for schools that want a permanent card-tap point in the corridor.

Will our records be mixed with other schools?

No. Each school registers on its own and gets its own space.

Can we track feeding and transport fees?

Yes. They are separate modules, so each charge is recorded on its own.

Can staff see different things?

Yes. Access depends on role, so each person sees what their job needs.

1. About SchoollyApp

SchoollyApp is a school management system from JamPa Solutions in Accra, Ghana. These terms apply to schools and staff who register and use it.

2. Who may use it

A school registers on its own and gets its own separate space. The person who registers must be authorised by the school to do so. Staff may use the system only for their school's work and only within the access their role gives them.

3. Your responsibilities

Keep sign-in details private, and enter accurate information. The school is responsible for the records it adds and for what its staff do in the system. Do not try to reach another school's data or to disrupt the service.

4. Cost

The software is free for schools. The hardware, such as the card-tap kiosk, is bought separately.

5. Your records

The records in a school's space belong to that school. We keep each school's data separate from every other school's.

6. Service and changes

We work to keep SchoollyApp running, and we may update or change it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

What we hold

On behalf of a school, SchoollyApp holds learner and staff records such as names, classes, guardian details, fees, results and attendance. If the school uses face recognition, it also holds the face data that is enrolled for attendance.

Who decides

The school decides what to enter and why. We store and process this information for the school, to run the system.

Children's information

Most learners are children. Schools should get the consent of parents or guardians before enrolling a child, especially for face recognition.

Who can see it

Each school's data is kept apart from every other school's. Inside a school, access depends on role, so each person sees only what their job needs. We do not sell personal information.

Ghana's data protection law

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
